How ATS Design collects, uses and looks after your personal information. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

Who we are

ATS Design Ltd supplies and installs timber and laminate flooring across New Zealand from our Auckland base at 4 Antares Place, Rosedale. This page explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it.

What we collect

  • Your name and contact details when you get in touch: your email address, phone number and, for quotes, your property address.
  • The details of your project: room measurements, floor preferences, and any photos or plans you share with us.
  • Messages you send us through the website, by email, or through our social media pages. These are collected and stored so we can look after your enquiry properly.
  • Enquiries you send through our Facebook or Instagram lead forms: your name and contact details, plus your answers to the form’s questions, such as which floor you are interested in and your timing.
  • Basic technical information about how the website is used, such as the pages visited and the type of device and browser, gathered through analytics cookies.

Sometimes we receive your details from someone else, such as your builder, architect, or a family member arranging the work. We only use them for your project, and everything on this page applies to them just the same.

How we use it

  • Preparing your quote, your digital floorplan and your install schedule.
  • Replying to your questions and keeping a record of what we agreed.
  • Getting your enquiry to the right person quickly: new enquiries from the website and from our Facebook and Instagram forms appear in a lead management app that only the ATS Design team can sign in to.
  • Arranging the supply, delivery and installation of your flooring.
  • Understanding which parts of the website are useful, so we can improve it.

We do not sell or rent your information. To anyone, for any reason.

How we store it

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, and access is limited to the people and services that need it to do their part of the job. Enquiries and quotes live in our team’s lead management system, hosted for us by Supabase on servers in Sydney, Australia. Like most New Zealand businesses we also rely on a small number of trusted services to run things: Netlify hosts the website and its contact form, Meta runs our Facebook and Instagram pages and lead forms, Make moves new Facebook and Instagram enquiries into our lead system, Quotient handles our quotes, Google provides the analytics, and Apple delivers our team’s app notifications. Each receives only what its part of the job needs, and each looks after information under its own published privacy policy. Some of these services store information outside New Zealand, including in Australia, the United States and Europe.

We keep your information for as long as we need it to look after your project and any warranty that comes with it. If your enquiry does not go ahead, we delete your details within two years of our last contact. If you would like something removed sooner, email us and we will delete anything we are not required to keep.

Who we share it with

We only share what a job needs, with the people doing that job:

  • The suppliers and delivery partners involved in getting your flooring to you.
  • The approved installers who complete your installation, where your project sits outside our own team’s area.
  • The services that run our website, lead system and quoting, named under How we store it. They process information on our behalf. Meta also uses information from its platforms under its own privacy policy.

They receive the details needed for your project, nothing more.

The ATS Leads app

Our team runs a small in-house iPhone app, ATS Leads, that shows new enquiries to the people who need to call you back. It is not public: there is no sign-up, and only signed-in ATS Design staff can open it.

  • What it holds about you. If you enquire through our website or our Facebook or Instagram lead forms: your name, phone number and email, the product you asked about, your timing answer, your contact preference, and the date and form of the enquiry. If you message us on Messenger without filling a form, we may hold just your name. Where our quoting software, Quotient, matches a quote to your enquiry by email or phone, the app also shows that quote’s number, title, total, status and dates. Quotes that match no enquiry are discarded, not stored.
  • How it gets there. Facebook and Instagram enquiries travel from Meta’s lead forms through Make.com, which transfers them and keeps nothing, into our database, hosted by Supabase in Sydney, Australia. We keep enquiries in our own records after Meta’s copy expires, so your enquiry is not lost.
  • What it holds about our team. Staff sign-in email addresses and display names, the device tokens Apple uses to deliver new-enquiry notifications, and the notes and contact history staff add while looking after enquiries.
  • What it never does. The app contains no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and nothing in it is sold or shared beyond the services named on this page.

Enquiry records are kept while they remain useful to us. If your enquiry does not go ahead, we delete your details within two years of our last contact, and sooner whenever you ask: email us and it is done.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how the website is used. It collects information such as the pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location. We use this in aggregate and do not use it to identify you. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the website will still work.

Project photography

Photographs of completed floors may appear in the galleries on this website and on our social media pages. We identify them by street and suburb only, never a full address or house number. If a photograph is of your home and you would like it removed or renamed, email us and we will sort it out promptly.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us at any time for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email us and we will sort it out promptly, and within 20 working days.

If you feel we have not handled your information properly, you can also make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Questions

If anything in this policy is unclear, or you would like to make a request about your information, our privacy officer can be reached at marketing@atsdesign.co.nz, or by writing to ATS Design Ltd, 4 Antares Place, Rosedale, Auckland.
