Our work Our work · Signature style

Manukau Hotel.

The breakfast room at the Manukau Hotel looked like a tornado had been through it when we arrived. It left in Slate Grey herringbone with the signature gold L Channel Bar running the walls: scanned, mocked up, approved, then laid. Supplied & installed, start to finish.

Before

The Manukau Hotel breakfast room stripped out, debris across the old floor

The breakfast room as we found it. Rough is the polite word.

Old coverings out, debris everywhere, ready for us to start.

The plan

The LiDAR floorplan of the Manukau Hotel breakfast room drawn by ATS Design

The breakfast room scanned with LiDAR and drawn up, so the timber order matched the room exactly.

The job

How it went.

The measure

LiDAR again: the breakfast room scanned and drawn, so the timber order matched the room, not a guess.

The mockups

Two digital mockups, built over our first-visit photos, showed the hotel Slate Grey in place, gold line and all, before they gave the go-ahead.

The timber

The oak in our Herringbone and Oak Plank ranges is a very high grade, so knots are few and far between. If knots make you hesitate, these are the boards we point to.

The result

From a room that looked like a tornado had been through it to a breakfast room with the elegance and class a hotel deserves.

The floor

What we laid.

The signature style, three parts laid by one team: the Slate Grey herringbone field, the Slate Grey Oak Plank, and the gold L Channel Bar running the room.
