The documents.
The specification sheet, the 25 year Herringbone & Oak Plank warranty, the wet area compliance statement and the certification overview. The same four papers stay with every Herringbone colour; take them with you.
Living with Slate Grey.
Where it shines
The deep grey that made our signature style. Slate Grey turns the floor into the room’s strongest feature, and big, light-filled rooms wear it best.
What it pairs with
Gold and brass were made for it, the signature L Channel Bar most of all, and it stands up to strong wall colours, like the deep green it sits against in our Milford job.
Keeping it right
A mat at the doors, a dry microfibre mop for the dust, and the dark colour rule below: felt pads under anything that moves. Our Herringbone floor care guide covers the rest.
The dark colour rule.
Especially dark colours like this one show wear differently. Furniture dragged across the floor, dining chairs being the classic, can wear down the top layer and expose the lighter core beneath. We highly recommend stick-on felt pads under anything that moves; they attach to almost any surface, and they are the cheapest protection a dark floor can have.
The specification.
Straight from the specification sheet above. If a number matters to your build, the sheet is the authority.
