Where it shines
A deep brown that stays warm rather than going black: the grain keeps reading through the colour. It gives a room richness the way dark leather does, without the formality.
What it pairs with
Pale sofas, oak furniture and white walls all stand taller against it. Select grade keeps knots few and far between, so the depth stays smooth rather than rustic.
Keeping it right
