Where it shines
Grey with the warmth left in: Smokey reads driftwood in daylight and turns softer, browner, under the evening lights. The wide board lets the haze drift the length of the room.
What it pairs with
The bridge colour: it lets warm timber joinery and cool stone benches share a room without argument. Select grade keeps knots few and far between, so the grey stays soft.
Keeping it right
