Where it shines
The honeyed end of light oak: it lifts a room the way sunlight does, and holds that warmth under your own lights at night. The wide board gives the grain room to move.
What it pairs with
Warm without leaning orange, so it sits as happily under crisp white walls as beside black joinery and timber battens. Select grade keeps knots few and far between, and the floor stays calm.
Keeping it right
